Of Moon, Masons & Men: Neil Armstrong Dies

Neil Alden Armstrong, the first human being on the Moon, has died. He stepped on the fifth largest satellite in the Solar System from Apollo 11 on July 20, 1969, a date most recently linked to the Aurora shootings. Above is the famed NASA photo of Neil Armstrong, inside the lander, after his moonwalk of July 20, 1969.

The above shows Buzz Aldrin on the Moon's surface. Armstrong, who took the photo, is reflected in the visor. This is the only still photograph of him on the moon. All other still photos are of Aldrin. There are television images which show Armstrong (as well as Aldrin) -- but Armstrong had the camera, and did not take any photographs of himself. All are of Buzz Aldrin.

Armstrong was born on August 5, 1930, in Wapakoneta, Ohio, to Stephen Koenig Armstrong, who was a Freemason, and Viola Louise Engel.

Neil Armstrong celebrated his 82nd birthday, before going for surgery on August 7, 2012, to relieve blocked coronary arteries. He died on August 25, 2012, following complications resulting from these cardiovascular procedures. This Moon-linked Armstrong died the day after the seven winning titles were stripped from Tour de France cycling champion Lance Armstrong (who was born Lance Edward Gunderson, September 18, 1971; he was adopted in 1974, by his mother's second husband, Terry Keith Armstrong).

"Armstrong" means "strong fighter." "Alden," from ald wyn, means "old friend."

July 23, 2012 - Sally Ride, 61, who was the first American woman, and the first acknowledged GLBT in space, died on July 23, 2012 of pancreatic cancer. Her first flight on board the space shuttle Challenger in June 1983 came 20 years to the month after the Soviet Union had launched the first woman in space, Valentina Tereshkova, on their sixth mission. At the age of 32, Ride was also the US's youngest astronaut to go into space. In October 1984, Ride was on board Challenger, accompanied by Kathryn Sullivan, who became the first US woman to walk in space. Ride had been scheduled for a third mission, but it was cancelled when Challenger exploded shortly after take-off in January 1986, killing the seven crew members, among them Christa McAuliffe, intended to be the first teacher in space.

This is flag that Brother Mason Buzz Aldrin unfurled on the Moon on July 21, 1969, when he stated "our flags" were being planted on the lunar surface.

July 21, 1961 – Mercury program: Mercury-Redstone 4 Mission – Gus Grissom piloting Liberty Bell 7 becomes the second American to go into space (in a suborbital mission).

Grissom was scheduled to be the first man to walk on the Moon. Instead, Grissom was killed January 27, 1967, along with fellow astronauts Ed White and Roger Chaffee during a training exercise and pre-launch test for the Apollo 1 mission at the Kennedy Space Center.

Grissom was born in Mitchell, Indiana. Grissom was a Master Mason and member of Mitchell Lodge 228.

July 21, 1969 – Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin become the first men to walk on the Moon, during the Apollo 11 mission.

Buzz Aldrin is a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason, a Masonic Knight Templar, and a Shriner.

Buzz flew the Supreme Council's flag on the moon. That flag is now on display in the Masonic Museum of the Supreme Council Scottish Rite Temple in Washington, D.C.

Anderson Luster's model of Alan B. Shepard's last of three swings at Moon golf.

July 21, 1998 – Alan B. Shepard, American astronaut dies.

Shepard was the first American in space. He later commanded the Apollo 14 mission, and was the fifth person to walk on the moon.

While on the Moon, Alan Shepard famously played golf with a Wilson six-iron head attached to a lunar sample scoop handle. Despite thick gloves and a stiff spacesuit which forced him to swing the club with one hand only, Shepard struck two golf balls with a six iron, driving the second according to the official record, but what was actually his third stroke, as he jokingly put it, "miles and miles and miles."

The symbolism of playing golf on the Moon, a sport tied to Freemasonry, with a six iron, with three strokes was not lost on Shepard's Brother Masons.

The origins of golf in Scotland is linked to Masonry, and the membership of the early golf clubs were Freemasons. The term Grand Masters from Freemasonry has been transferred to use in golf as in the Grand Masters Championship Tournaments. Of course, the ultimate Masonic golf course is the Moon.

The St. Andrews golf course's cornerstone was laid by Masonic Brothers.

Leith, July 2, 1768

This day William St Clair of Roslin, Esq., the undoubted representative of the Honourable and Heretable G.M.M of Scotland, In presence of Alexander Keith, Esq., Captain of the Honourable Company of Goffers, and other worthy Members of the Goffing Company, all Masons, The G.M., now in his GRAND CLIMAX of GOFFING, laid the Foundation of the GOFFING HOUSE in the S.E. corner thereof, by THREE STROKES with the Mallet.

ALEXR. KEITH, C. Wm. ST. CLAIR, G.M.M.

GMM stands for Grand Master Mason. The St Clairs of Roslyn were hereditary patrons of the Masons in Scotland for centuries and William St Clair was the first elected Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Scotland in 1736. He was Captain and prominent member of both the Leith and the St Andrews golf clubs. Apart from laying the foundation stone of the world's first golf clubhouse, his name is on the St Andrew’s minute shortening the Old Course to be eighteen holes in 1764. He died in 1778 and is buried in Roslyn Chapel.

The Royal Blackheath GC was open only to Freemasons until 1789 and, until 1825, it still contained a hardcore group of Masons called the Knuckle Club who played out-of-season to avoid the non-mason members.

Neil Armstrong dies on the 237th day of 2012. Room 237 in Kubricks "The Shining" represents the moon, at least according to Jay Weidner, who posits that the Shining was Kubrick's mea culpa on faking the moon landings. Seems rather Fortean.

In this sentence, why did you put in boldface the word 'men'?

' July 21, 1969 – Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin become the first men to walk on the Moon, during the Apollo 11 mission. '

It made me wonder, 'men' as opposed to some other sort of hominid?

l'homme sur la lune, un pipeau maçonnique ?
Man on the Moon, a freemason Hoax ?

Grandiose !!!

I denoted "men" to merely note a demarcation between Armstrong's lone act, and his being joined by Aldrin, the Freemason on the Moon.

I made a video that relates to some of this. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xaju9t_redrum-77_creation?start=3

Michael, your comments are a stretch which belong in the String Theory Hall of Fame. Speaking as a Freemason myself, the idea that my brothers would concoct a multi-billion dollar hoax is an insult as vile as it is idiotic. The Apollo program, if one wants to see it as somehow Masonic, would then be in the long line line of scientific triumphs going right back to the Royal Society's founding in 1660, itself a "Masonic" institute.

words spoken from "MASON" of course you would deny any wrong doing from your MASON brothers

RIP Neil:

The true american hero.

But why did he become a recluse? He almost Never Gave Public talks on the Moon Landing. What the heck went on up there?

I think if your the "Ultra Maroon who was First on the Moon" You Owe the US public a look see. If only to push for the successes of a Space Program. His missing voice has cost and hurt science education and NASA. Why?

I find it interesting that NASA has finally released a picture that apperars to be a Luner stepped pyramid. The Apollo photograph - AS11-238-5564 - was taken on lunar orbit by the crew of the first US Lunar Lander Mission, Apolo 11, on July 20,1969 - what appears to be a stepped pyramid one mile on four sides and 1/2 mile high, surrounded by dams on each side. So who was the first to set foot on the Moon first?

Anonymous, the skills required of an engineer and pilot do not require an extrovert personality. Some people cherish their privacy, and that can be difficult to do when you become as famous as Neil was.

Aldren has done the very function you mention -- advocacy of future manned space exploration.

I have seen some documentaries in which Neil HAS been interviewed, and spoke of his flight and mission.

I remember one thing he said very specifically. To Neil, as an engineer and pilot, the key achievement was the landing on the moon. And since he and Buzz Aldrin were in the same craft, they BOTH landed on the moon at the same time. (Remember, these were test pilots, the key for them was flying the craft, and landing successfully.)

I think it rather refreshing to have someone of his accomplishments who doesn't have a huge ego. That is all to rare today.

I think you are trying to read too much into his shyness and modesty.

If you look at his bio, you will see that he was NOT a complete recluse. He was also very guarded about the way his name was used. He was not looking for fame and fortune.

Other astronauts have also mentioned that he was a quiet man, did not speak too much. (and this was not said in a derogatory way - it was just his personality).

I certainly do not see any hint of conspiracy.

I would only add this comment on those who think the landings were a hoax. One obvious question emerges. Why would NASA "fake" six landings, and one failed attempt (Apollo 13) due to a serious malfunction in the CSM?

If one is interested in creating a hoax, they would have to have very few people involved, since the more people involved, the greater the chance of being discovered (SOMEONE would talk). So faking one landing would be the choice. But SIX? (and three other missions which circumnavigated the moon (Apollo 8, 10, and 13)?

HIGHLY unlikely. The evidence of a hoax, simply does not exist. Too many people would have known about it, and ONE of those people (or more) WOULD have whistle-blown it.

But that has NEVER happened.

I have heard the above comment by John C many times from multiple people regarding a vast array of conspiracies. At face value, it's a valid question and one that every conspiracy researcher should consider.

Taken in a vacuum without proper consideration of the oaths and what they mean, the belief that SOMEONE would talk and spill the beans on the whole charade makes sense. But it's far from a silver bullet, and relies on a number of assumptions; the main one being human rationality.

Yet the oaths must be considered, along with compartmentalization among various state, federal, and other clandestine agencies. Also worthy of consideration is how these escapades incorporate plausible deniability for each facet. If only ONE person came forward, then others could easily cover for the rest involved by several means. For instance, the whistleblower's involvement could be publicly minimized and ridiculed. This would likely prove effective as the whistleblower would not have access to the same Public Relations avenues as the accused does, nor would they have any direct line to the media - and if their public credibility is affected, their message would be stopped in its tracks. Should the culprit proceed, then stakes get raised - such as threats against this person or more likely, their family and friends.

So the line that "too many people involved, wouldn't work" is doubtful, especially when you go beyond surface level. Unfortunately this works on many otherwise educated people and dissuades them from further investigation.

@John C, is not it funny the Nasa clami that they have lost the others films and videos of the other landings. Comme c'est étrange !
@Brother Alan Blackwell : Masonry is bullshit just like the Talmud, eh oui, mon chéri !

No, brave "Anonymous", Masons are taught that there a bad and good Masons, symbolised by black and white tiles in some lodges. I find the idea that the entire, multi-year Apollo program was a hoax to be the putrid thinking of the mentally ill, and the aspersions on the characters of men who participated in it to be equally deranged. Are five Masons who work on a project a conspiracy? Is my drawing you out covert interrogation? LOL

Masonry is not bull. Underneath it all is the strife towards a universal belief in the truth. An understanding of where the human race truly came from, and to find our each and individual purpose in life. A world with people united, not divided by religion, race or money. If the first moon landing was a hoax, so what. It was a hoax for a reason, a much higher reason than we can comprehend. The majority of people are taught that they need to be led, they have to follow. How much chaos would there be in this world if right now, your government and the knowing Church would announce the truth about every cover up in religious and national history? Do not be led in darkness my child, seek the true light and ye shall know the truth! Out of chaos, there will be Order. AB ORDO CHAO!

Your information is wrong - Neil Armstrong was also a Freemason.
